Look at experience. Consider schooling, credentials, and their experience with many different conditions, diseases, and trauma. At our hospital, our team has probably seen more intense cases in a year than other individual vets see in a lifetime. This experience makes a difference when care goes from routine to acute. Pets can’t talk so your vet’s diagnosis is critical to getting the right care in a timely manner.
