Drop-off Schedules

Since we know our clients have busy work schedules that might prevent you from bringing your pets in for set appointments, we allow you to drop off your pet early in the morning and pick them up at the end of the workday. Call us for more information.

Extended Hours

Our clinic is open until 8:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.

Bathing & Grooming

Bathing and grooming is the best way to become familiar with your pet’s skin, coat and overall body condition. Grooming on a regular basis is beneficial for the early detection and immediate treatment of any issues. Our highly-trained groomers and bathers can detect skin conditions and physical abnormalities that would not have otherwise been detected.

Weekend Hours

Our clinic is open until 3:00 pm every Saturday.

Medical Services

Dental Care

During a physical exam at Town & Country, you may notice that the doctor spends a good deal of time examining your pet’s mouth - that’s because your pet’s dental health is of critical importance. Detecting the early signs of dental disease allows us to establish a dental care program for your pet that prevents the debilitating effects of advanced dental diseases from spreading to other bodily functions through the liver, kidney, heart and nervous system. Prevention is easy, and we will teach you simple home healthcare tips to help your pet live a longer and healthier life.

Preventive Healthcare

As with your own health, proper nutrition, regular check-ups and preventive vaccinations all play a vital role in maintaining the health of your family pets. We recommend preventive healthcare for your pet because, in veterinary medicine, many potential problems can be eliminated through annual physical exams. Click here for more information.

Senior Healthcare

As our pets move into their senior years (7 years for dogs and 9 years for cats), they go through changes similar to human aging and are therefore more likely to develop diseases. We have created a senior program at our hospital designed to offer your pet the gift of the healthiest life possible. The senior program comprises a series of non-invasive tests and procedures chosen to provide the most pertinent information about your pet’s health.

Soft Tissue & Orthopedic Surgery

Injuries to bones, ligaments and joints are common in our canine and feline companions. These injuries usually occur as a result of genetic predisposition or trauma. Casts, splints and physical therapy are some of the treatments used for orthopedic injuries. In many cases, animals need to undergo orthopedic surgery to correct the problem. Most surgical techniques used on humans are now available for our pets.

Spays & Neuters

According to the ASPCA’s website, a cat or dog who reproduces and whose offspring then reproduce can produce between 50 and 200 kittens or puppies in one year. Spaying or neutering your pet will help resolve the growing pet overpopulation problem. Furthermore, studies show that spaying or neutering reduces the incidence of tumors later in life.

Digital X-ray & Ultrasound

Our digital x-ray unit yields high quality imaging of animals and allows our veterinarians to send the x-rays to board-certified radiologists for a quick consult. Ultrasound uses reflected sound waves to produce a computerized image of the organs and structures within the body. Unlike X-rays, diagnostic ultrasound does not use harmful ionizing radiation and there are no known health risks associated with its use.

Specialty Services

In House Lab & Pharmacy

We have the necessary in-house resources to help your pet maintain its best physical health. State-of-the-art laboratory analyzers enable us to diagnose diseases and infections in as little as 15 minutes, and a locally-based veterinary laboratory provides STAT results in as little as 5 hours. With our in-house pharmacy, we can dispense any necessary pain relievers, antibiotics, or other medication your pet may require.

Pet Identification

Our clinic provides the Homeless Pets ID Tag and the Home Again Microchip. A microchip allows vets and shelters to find your pet in the event that he or she gets lost. The procedure is simple: the veterinarian injects the microchip under your pet’s skin between the shoulder blades, and the chip’s unique identification number is registered with the AKC Companion Animal Recovery System. With the microchip, you'll never lose your pet again!

Pet Insurance

Advanced technology has allowed the veterinary profession to offer treatments that save pets' lives as well as help them attain longer, healthier lives. Unfortunately for the pet owner, these treatments are not inexpensive. Fortunately, Purina Pet Healthcare provides your pet with the best in medical care without you having to worry about the cost. Policy coverage includes injuries from accidents, poisonings, and illnesses (including cancer).

Flea & Tick Prevention

Fleas can cause medical problems in our pets including flea allergy dermatitis, tapeworms, hair loss (due to scratching), and secondary skin irritations. In large numbers, the blood loss from fleas can cause anemia, especially in puppies and kittens, where a severe problem can lead to death. Ticks can also transmit serious diseases, including Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. If you find fleas or ticks on your pet, it is important to bring them to our veterinary clinic as soon as possible. Depending on the animal and their condition, our clinic recommends Vectra-3D, Comfortis, or Revolution.

Grooming Products

Town & Country Veterinary Clinic provides a variety of shampoos and brushes to help groom your pet.

Prescription Diets

We carry a full line of prescription, specially-formulated, brand name foods for your dog or cat. Ask your veterinarian which food or ingredients best suit the special dietary needs of your pet.
